Some quick advice needed please!

My FFRR is dead in the drive with a flat battery. Cause unknown but hopefully a tired battery rather than something more sinister. The multimeter says 11.5v which obviously isn't enough to crank. My jumper pack is dead (but is currently on charge, and my jump leads are at my friends house, so I haven't been able to start it yet. Thing is I have an early start tomorrow and need my track car out of the garage...

So the question is if I use the defender to tow the RR out of the drive the 10yards or so required to clear the garage, will it do any harm? Obviously I'll try a quick jump first but failing that, I haven't really got the time to mess around with it. Just not sure the consequences of a ten yard tow on an auto 4wd. Not been in this situation before!

Any advice gratefully received.

Oh well never mind - this isn't the busiest of ph subforums, eh? For what it's it worth, it jumped fine from the newly charged jumper pack, so no need for towing this morning after all. All's well it seems...

Bit late now, but left in neutral and keeping the speed down it would have been fine.
