RRS TDV6 thoughts?
Discussion
Fancy a change (been in alpinas for 4 years) and missus is desperate for one of these as a family car after she beat me into submission to trade her rsv 4 fir a beetle soft top (devious creatures these women !). Had a demo tdv6 for a few days in 2006 and really liked it but the running costs and reliability concern me a little as I do around 20k a year business miles - and I can coax 50mpg out the alpina d3 on a motorway run! That said residuals seem good? So - whaddyareckon ?! Any advice appreciated!
I've had one from new, so about 6 1/2 years.
You'll never get great fuel economy. On a motorway run 28-30, rest of time around 24.
I've had no real problems with mine, biggest expenses have been cracked wheels, I've done 2. Other than that just routine servicing. It's now done around 70k miles.

Mine's on about 80k now (2006 car) and is fine. Great all round bus, kids love it and so does the wife. Servicing not been too scary although changing four tyres at once can make you jump. HSE with a few toys is worth chasing, upgrade the sat nav disc and put a new bluetooth module in there, all should be well. MPG almost identical to Rob above.
I made a point of avoiding big wheels and blacked out windows when I got mine but plenty of choice out there and options seemingly endless.
