Range rover SE - question?

Can someone kindly advise me with a question I have about the radio in an SE 2003 spec range rover. Looking to retro fit a sat nav as the car only had radio/cd player.

First question?

Are they the same as the BMW sat nav? If so which model would fit in the SE model?

I see there are units for 535 pounds for new ones made by a different manufacturer?

Also there are a few on bay for 350, any good or are these made in china tatt?

Does anyone know where I can get a second hand one for sale?

Is it true that if it's comes off a vogue range rover it will bot be compatible with the SE model?

As far as i am aware as long as the sat nav unit and associated CD/DVD drive match they should be fine, and it should not matter if the units came from an SE or a Vogue

I have no first hand experience of the Land Rover versions of the BMW systems, however i am fairly certain that it will work on a very similar/near identical manner

Ok thanks Martin. I just did some more reading at it looks like the vogue sat nav will not work on a hse/se due to the wiring loom?!

Might anyone know if the BMW sat nav works in a RR Se?

Or who I could ask?
