I need a RR for the dog, Anyone have one spare :-)

Afternoon all,
As above really, I'm forced to sell the 3 series as the hairy hound is now far too big. I'm fed up of getting a slavering tongue in the ear, and constant hot breath on my neck, fine in the house but not in the car
After a cheap P38 Diesel, or LPG version or if anyone would like a swap that's fine by me. The BMW is in classifieds. If not then I've some money stashed behind the sofa cushions.

Mike.

how about a mint Discovery ES7 Auto?
Probably the best MK1 left in the country!
Waxoyled from new and in superb condition.
1997, 72000 miles, in Tahiti blue with grey leather.
Has had the following recently:
Brand new top-hat block from Turner engineering with 3 year guarantee.
Kent H180 hi-torque camshaft.
Full stainless sports exhaust including headers wrapped in heat shield - sounds lovely.
ACT intake trumpets
Tornado ECU.
New uprated springs and DeCarbon shocks
LPG with underslung tanks - just serviced.
front and rear aircon, elec seats, twin roofs - all working
Tax and Mot until April
Lots of other nice things on it too
let me know if you are interested

The Shedmeister is slipping...
You don't need a Range Rover. Get one of these. Buttons to buy. Buttons to run. Better off road than a Range Rover. More reliable than a Range Rover. If anything does go wrong you can generally fix it with a hammer and an adjustable spanner. Buy one of these and keep the car you love!

Whats the gonig rate for a clean (Galv Chassis/bulkhead) Series/Defender then?
I bought mine from the army for £1500. 36,000 miles from new. Excellent chassis and bulkhead, really good engine. Had it for seven years now. Have spent quite a bit on it, but only because I have chosen to, not because I had to! Nothing of any significance has gone wrong with it in this time. No power steering. No carpets. No radio. it just came with two ammo boxes and five jerry cans chucked in the back. Roughly repaired small arms fire damage to the nearside front wing adds a bit of extra character! It cost me £45 to insure fully comp this year. I take the dogs out in it almost every day and I absolutely love it!DKL said:
Mike,
You're a brave man wanting a P38. More electrickery than the shuttle to go wrong and it usually does.
Stick to the pre 1990 classics and it will slightly less painful.
I'm on my 3rd P38 in almost as many years and by and large they have been fine. I'm in a MY2000 thor based one which is better than the earlier gems ones. There is a wealth of information and endless supply of low cost parts out there for them now. If you are prepared to repairs yourself you will be ok.You're a brave man wanting a P38. Diesel ones are slugs - best avoided IMO.

Classic will be fine also, there is a mad one nearby but sadly looks like something from deliverance with light racks, a winch, just need a banjo now.
