Honeymoon with Evoque on hold
Discussion
Ive had the Evoque now for 10 months and 12,000 fault free miles. It really is a very good car for what it is supposed to do.
One complaint due to be sorted at 1st service is an annoying vibration rattle from somewhere in the headlining. Ok, fair enough, nothing to get heated about.
Today however, I glanced up to see a 9 inch crack in the Panoramic roof running from the front rearwards.
I now envisage a world of pain arguing whether its a warranty issue or an insurance claim.
I honestly have no idea of the cause. I certainly haven't had any impact whilst driving. Maybe its a stress fracture, who knows?
One thing in my favour is that there is no evidence of an external hit as the crack is smooth when you run your hand over it.
I'm hoping this isn't an unforeseen problem which may come to light more often in the future.
A shame as its marred an otherwise great driving experience.

Ah, sorry to read about the pano roof problem. I must say, it is a concern I have had but so many cars are coming out with them now - and they are nice - that I took the risk.
On the Babyrr forum there have been some folk who have had to have repairs carried out - they might have insurance advice from experience.
The Evoque is a brilliant car though, I've had mine 11 months (Si4 Dynamic) and loved every minute with it but get a RRS next week as I want a little more boot space.
