Although my mate used to have one for the life of I cannot remember if a bike would fit in the rear fully built!

So, what's the most complete way a bike will fit in the rear?

Pictures as ever most welcome smile

I've always had to take at least the front, if not both, wheels off to get mine in the 90.
Depends on size and type of bike obviously.

Also on the Landy, are we talking hard top, country SW with rear seats or a pick up.

The rear bed isn't long enough to put a bike in length ways, but if you don't mind laying it down or putting it in diagonally or up on the seat box/seats then it can be done. Had 3 bikes plus 2 people in the back of a SIII 88 before.

Also depends if it has a bulkhead behind rear seats or not. You can get a mountain bike with rear wheel on if you have. A bulkhead removal bar in place

I used to get a bike in the back of my 50th. Had to remove the front wheel though.

It would/will be a D90 van.

I should imagine with the bulkhead removed, front wheel off and a front axle holder placed near the bullkhead could make a pretty slick soloution.

Although it's pretty a obvious a dismantled bike would easily fit I would much prefer to make the opertaion as slick as possible without the faffage of taking half the bike to bits!

Putting a hinged front axle holder at the back door would make for less faffage, as the bike would wheel in and be easily tied down.

Any mountain bike will fit in without dissembling the wheels - but only with the back wheel resting on the passenger seat and a horrible wrestling match.
I usually take the front wheel off and it is still a faff getting it in. There is a remarkable lack of space in the back of a 90.
