Drove the new RR this morning
Discussion
The local LR dealer had a TDV6 diesel on the road, assume it's arrived in the last few days.
Very quick 30-minute whizz around the lanes near the dealer. First impressions? It's sort of how you'd hope it would feel, if that makes sense; bit more grown up, smoother, certainly lighter feeling and a little more nimble on country roads.
The TDV6 feels pretty similar to the older TDV8 3.6 in go department.
Looks? Hmm, still think it looks a bit 'Judge Dredd' at the front, elsewhere all pretty good. The 20" wheels fitted looked a little undernourished, might be that 21" better balance looks and taste.
One odd thing, the boot floor seemed higher than as-is, somehow making the boot feel slightly smaller...might just be me, but it didn't seem to have that deep, cavernous feel that the existing car conveys.
Rest of interior looks a bit simpler than the previous car, but feels very similar in terms of quality. Rear seats much better, more room, too.
Every home should have one.
