Try Harwoods in Edenbridge. I got mine from there in March this year and dealt with a guy called Marc Sack who was very pleasant (not your normal Landrover salesman).

As it was a company car I went through the process of getting 4 quotes from various places and they were by far the cheapest. They also kept me up to date on the build process & managed to bring it in early.

choose a dealership where the 'principal' actually owns the garage

your satisfaction affects their 'pockets'

avoid at all costs the 'groups' like Stratstone etc

Funny that, contacted my local dealers, Hillendales, then Hunters, both within few hundred of each other.

Then tried the various on line companies offering various discounts who beat both previous dealers quotes.

Then as a last resort tried Stratstones who where about 25 miles away and they even beat the best on line quote ....... Deal done ! wink

The OP didn't mention aftercare, he asked for opinions for the best deal.

If that's the case then I have three local dealers who'll get my business !

sorry for being stupid?

thought the OP might just like to get the cars 'warranty' work etc carried out by the supplying garage?

and do you think that 'a.n.other' garage is going to be so quick to please when you have bought from somewhere else?

their own supplied cars will naturally come before those supplied by another?

FFS

i remember the problems of 'legal' imports and UK dealership support

Car dealers make most of their money "out the back". If you buy your car from someone other than your local dealer the sales manager won't love you but the service manager will welcome you with open arms. LR have standards for dealers to meet when it comes to after care on cars under warranty.

Having said that I would alsways try to buy locally if the sales people are good because they are another useful contact if you have any issues.

.............Think you're living in the past, any main dealer is more than welcoming for any business, be it a car supplied by them or indeed a car that someone else has supplied because they are more keen to get the new business..............a salesman might be a different matter !

..............and no need to aplogise for being stupid ! wink

Well I wouldn't recommend any of the ones I tried particularly Tonbridge who NEVER EVER reply to me even though I bough my Daughter Evoque from there.

Tried to buy a new Defender there and they still haven't called me to inform me of the 2013 MY prices. Bought elsewhere
