Hi there,
I'm needing some help. My father recently purchased a 2001 V8 Discovery, car was in good nick and got a clean bill of health from a local specialist. However after leaving it standing for a week, the battery has died
This wouldn't be so much of a problem but the central locking no won't work even when using the key. Is there any way to get in so as to give it a jump or even attach a trickle charger?

Surely it has a key & a mechanical lock?
I have tried and even that didn't work, it's not frozen either just wont do anything
We've had folk try the old coat hanger trick to no avail. After some research a guy in America had the same issue he had to get access through a panel in the wheel well to get at the battery cable and jump it that way!Luckily my dad has just remembered that he took out breakdown cover so we're calling them tomorrow to get it sorted.
