Has anyone used these folks? I'll have a second service coming up on my FL2 in a couple of months and whilst I don't yet know the prices it's the usual dilemma of whether to get a main dealer stamp or go indy.

Fitted a new exhaust manifold to myTD5 back in the summer, plus sorted a couple of other minor things.
Not cheap on the Land Rover Men-in-Sheds scale, but very knowledgeable and a bulletproof reputation.
Not sure they'd for the bill for a straight forward service though.

used them perhaps 18 months ago for re-map on td5 defender. helpful, well set up - and good job done. my own rule is that whilst in warrenty, main dealer deals with, except consumables such as brakes etc. and dont forget that service prices from main dealers vary massively. sometimes up to 200 pounds. ring the 3 nearest you, quote the cheapest to the one you want to use, and they will get pretty close to it.

Used JE a lot when out of warranty. Excellent LR specialists, know more about LR's than most dealers. Prices will not be too dissimilar from a dealers but you will know that you are paying for the correct maintenance rather than what the dealer wants to sell you.

Very very nice bunch of people and extremely knowledgeable. Their workshop manager has recently left but I can't fault the service we've had from them. They have just installed a new engine in SWMBOs D3 and we will be back there after 1000 miles for an oil change and check. Then we will use them for servicing going forward. No main dealer is every going near her car again.

My defender (bought from a mate) had a few JE Mods and had been serviced there.

So year before last, I sent there to have a full monty service - to make sure everything was running sweet.

It was costly. can't remember how much but I think 800-1000-ish (they looked at a few other things than just a major service). But they did collect and return the vehicle (coventry to sunny grantham) and it has run brilliantly since.

This time (only a few weeks back) I went for a smaller service at my local place. I intend to alternate one year, small/cheaper and local and the next JE.

Very nice folk and happy to recommend them.

Not been there in almost 10 years, when they did their stage 2 upgrade on my D2 at 2 weeks old. Still have the D2!

They seemed good back then and the fact that my modded D2 never had a problem must say something.

I bought a Disco 2 TD5 a month ago and had the stage 1 Remap within a week. Ive worked in the offroad side of life for a fair few years now and currently work for Jaguar Land Rover too!

I've been a big fan of JE for many years but this is my only dealing with them as a customer - im utterly impressed, confident in what they do, and was very happy with their service. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Plus, the remap has absolutely transformed the car - well worth doing in my book.

They serviced our L322 a few times while we had it; good guys and great service.
