Driving home tonight and was being flashed.
Got home and noticed I had no tail lights.
My brake and indicators work and my front lights are fine.
Checked the fuses and they seem fine.
Am I missing something? What should I be looking at?

May be earth connection (but probably not if brake lights working) but could be wiring connector to them somewhere.

If it's not a bulb or fuse. I would say it the break light switch or broken/bad connection.

After market LED lights?
Made in China per chance?
Each rear sidelight is run from a different fuse to prevent just this sort of thing happening so I'd doubt it's the vehicle at fault.
I'd be looking very closely at the suitability of the LED units, especially their polarity.

Put Led tail/brake lights on my defender. Didn't work, had replaced, still didn't work. Spent ages checking bulbs and wiring with a meter. Gave up. Put ordinary bulbs back in.

I still have no idea why they didn't work, as the bulbs check out ok on a meter, and the car is fine.
A tenner (and a lot of time) I wont see again, but filed in the "one of those things" drawer.

Did they ever work - i.e. did you check them after you fitted them?

I had cheap LED bulbs in my old light units, had to file down the connections to get a decent connection. Finally binned them for RDX unit off the bay, not cheap mind!
