Damage to car whilst at the main dealer...again.

I really do wonder what goes on at our local Land Rover Main Dealer when customers aren't looking, because receiving my car back damaged is a regular occurence.
Since I have had my current car (about 18 months) I have had one damaged wheel, a damaged centre console and today a long scratch along one door.
I always do a walk-round with the service chap and agree any prior marks (usually there are few as I look after my cars) and when later there is damage it's always a question of "not sure how we have done that but we will sort it out".
I had the same problem with my previous Range Rover. That was damaged by the same dealer (from memory) three or four times. On one occasion when their recommended body shop repaired it they did such a bad job that the sales manager tried to chip me at trade in because the panel needed re-painting!
I don't like leaving my cars with dealers at the best of times, but I dread going to Land Rover and finding out what "ding du jour" my car has sustained.

Why have you carried on going back? Providing they sorted it and had the right attitude I could accept damaging my car once. Twice, no chance I'd go back.
Rightly or wrongly I prefer to use my local main dealer, there are a number of reasons for this, not least that when something goes wrong the commute is less. I genuinely believe that they want to do a good job, but I suspect one of their staff to be competing in the World Rally Championships without the benefit of his own car.What you want to do is invest in one of those 'Dog Cams'...
My mate had his one in his car when it went in for a service. Once the SD card was recovered, we were able to not only see how the guys in the workshop treated the car but the test route they used and how they drove it on the test route.

I just bought an MB CLS and in between me agreeing the purchase and them preparing it for my collection, a deep scratch has appeared on the boot. My guess is a tool box ?
I pointed it out along with the before photos that I had taken and they said they would fix it.
I collected it late last Friday but it was too dark to inspect and on Saturday and Sunday it was raining.
My eyes, in the crap conditions, tells me the spray job was done by a blind man, plus they didn't replace the badges.
I think that it's either simply a sign of the times or that their workshop / spray shop guys are pushing for O/T.

Popped into a dealer with a boot catch which wouldn't release and as we were on a weekend away & the dog was in the back, we needed it sorted. Anyway the fuse kept blowing & it needed a new catch which wasn't in stock, sowe left it at that.
Next thing I see walking back to the car later in the day, is a HUGE scratch above the rear window. WTF! Grrrrr.
I find I always get slightly embarrassed asking them to walk with me around the car prior to drop-off. Seems that on the usual post service questionnaire, the pre-inspection is one of the monitored areas assessed by LR?

I felt embarassed one time when I didn't do a walk-round beforehand and had to tell the dealer that he'd damaged my car. He dealt with it but there was an air of it being done to humour me.
