Hi people thinking of buying a Range Rover Sport 4.4 HSE this coming Friday but would like to know what to look out for I have test drove a few 2.7 diesels but this petrol 4.4 has everything I want and colour etc.

Any major problems to look out for or any important questions to ask?

It has full service history with all the old paper work plus was services 3000 miles ago.

Cheers for reading and and any help you may offer.

4.4 sport. I didn't think they made one.

4.2 supercharged, or is it a FF?

Whatever the answer, great cars if you can handle the mpg

Yep... 4.4 petrol V8.

You could get them in the UK until late 2006(ish).

That's correct it's a 2006 model I was think I would get around 22-26 mpg on a motor way drive or is this something I am deluding myself over?
Also does anyone know the rough mpg on the 4.2 V8 supercharged version as there is also a nice one of these with-in my budget.

It obviously depends on how you drive it but realistically you're probably looking at the low 20s. I have managed 26mpg out of one but I was driving like Miss Daisy!! The Supercharged is typically around the late teens but again it is very dependent on how you drive. Either way, I'd make sure servicing is up-to-date.

FWIW - The 4.4 IS a nice car and consumables (brakes, etc...) are fairly reasonable. That said, I do have a soft spot for the 4.2 Supercharged as it has a lovely bark and all of them came as a high spec as standard.

I've just bought a 2006 4.2 supercharged . They have so much kit as standard it's unbelievable.
Yes, it makes a lovely noise , which is the main reason I had to have it.

I only do 6000 miles a year, and can safely say I have never owned an economical car....
Used to drive a Porsche Cayenne S for three years, and that was juicy, but wow the SC seriously loves a drink

Mrs is driving around locally, and trip shows 13mpg eek
