Hello Lads and Lasses

Here be my lovely old 1984/5 90 following complete restoration - only some electrics and trim to do and put on the nice wheels - Twisted Supersports in silver)

Before you all ask if a breakdown has occured - the reason for being on the trailer is that she is being taken over to the stainless exhaust people in Basingstoke - and an MOT has yet to be obtained.

Was originally a factory V8 station wagon and had various TVR motor/gearbox/soft-top/colours over the years until finally the chassis gave up the ghost last year.

Some of you may have followed the rebuild thread - I also had a 5.7-litre Overfinch Discovery which was very tired - so I decided to overhaul the running gear, including stroking the motor to 6.3 litres, uprate/replace everything and try to create a very nice car.

We chose Keswick green - was wondering what you guys thought of this colour.

Very nice love the colour, not being thick here I hope, but it's not clear whether it still resides in he Disco or not, but have you fitted a 6.3ltr engine in it too?

Thanks guys for the positive comments about the colour - my wife really liked it so I took the plunge and I think it has turned out rather nice.

We still have a bit to do - fit DRL's, wiring in of gauges, seats and trim and wheels/tyres to go on, some tidying up of the engine bay - I have a black Edelbrock 14-inch air cleaner to match the rocker covers - and a weeping oil cooler hose to fix, plus a final mop and polish etc - but three or four days hard graft should see that all done.

Will post some pics on here next week when all is done.

Nice, what sort of transmission and drivetrain upgrades have you done?

Personally, I'd just use the standard side lights & indicator lenses and stick a standard set of wheels on there (235 BFGs). Make it a bit of a 'sleeper' car. hehe

I transferred the axles over from the disco which were up-rated half-shafts etc - pinned the front diff, rear LSD, transfer box rebuilt with cross-drilled shafts to help oil and gearbox id Full Ashcroft stage 2 with huge torque convertor, besopke flexplate adaptor (which makes the torque convertor do the work) up-rated gearbox oil cooler.
I ran all of this along with the engine in the disco for nearly 2000 miles before the build started

you see in the picture during the winter, but the twisteds look fantastic - espaecially with the subtle 1-inch height drop we have

That is tempting, and I will run the wheels

Keswick green is a great colour but needs white roof/wheels combo for maximum looking awesomeness

And maybe repaint it bronze green
Replace the chevy 6.3 with a five-bearing 2.25
etc etc etc
