RRS - child seat in middle
Discussion
hi, i know there are divided opinions on whether child seat can/should be in the middle seat but this thread is aimed at those with 3 kids or 2 kids, who do make use of the middle seat in their range rover sport.
im looking for a forward facing seat that fits the middle and allows the two seats on either side for adults. if you have this set up or perhaps have one child seat on one end and have sucessfully been able to fit a fwd facing seat right next to it, im listening...!
thanks

What do you mean by forward facing seat? One for 1-3 yr olds? You wont be able to fit 3 of those next to each other, but you can fit 3 booster seats in a row (for 4+yr olds).
That's NOT what the OP was asking...The OP wants to know if the middle seat can take a kiddie seat, so that an adult can sit either side. Worst case, 2x kiddie seats.
FWIW - The middle seat has a 3 point belt, should will be capable of taking a kiddie seat but IIRC it won't take an ISOFIX.

I don't know the RRS, but I assume it's a similar problem to the rest of the family in that the rear arches intrude into the seat base and effectively narrow the seat. FWIW I have a D2 and have three high back boosters (15kg+) across the rear, having had two forward facing toddler seats (9-18kgs - both outgrown by my nearly 2-y-os) and a high back booster in the middle up to a few months ago.
I can't believe the RRS is smaller or less practical than the D2 (Which is bizarrely poor...)

We've got a Disco 4 and have had 3 child seats side by side, one high back seat with a 4 year old on the LH isofix, a forward facing full harness seat with a 3 year old in the middle (held by 3 pt belt) and a wide forward facing full harness seat with a 2 year old on the right, using the isofix points. It was certainly a squeeze, but they all fitted in. Not sure how the RRS differs in terms of the seats though.
Here's a pic (2 adults in the back too - great cars!)
