HELP i have a discovery it leaks like mad overheats its had new heater matrix new thermostates im getting the feelin theres a blockage but unsure how to flush the engine if i fill the water tank before i go out an drive more than 10 mile away temperture hits the red wen i check the water it just gushes out ive tryed runnin the car without the thermostate and it just cuts out.....any ideas or answers even would be much appreciated

I think you might find its the head gasket leaking allowing combustion gases to pressurise the cooling system. Sniff test of the coolant will tell you.

Defo head gasket. Straight forward enough (I changed one in a French hotel car park once) but not for the feint hearted.
You also need to find out what caused it to fail in the first place, which is usually compromised cooling, which could be a blocked rad, knackered water pump, leaking heater matrix.......
