Another FFRR Question- 19" Inch Tyre Size?

We in the process of replacing our Cayenne Turbo with a 2008/2009 Range Rover TDV8. The Cayenne has 20" wheels, but I also have a spare set of 19" winter wheels for the Cayenne, along with another set of summer tyres for the 19" wheels.
I'd be keen to get some winter wheels for the Range Rover, but before I was potentially sell my winter wheels with the Cayenne I was wondering if the tyres would fit a Range Rover.
The Current winter tyres are 255 50 19. I've been trying to see which size tyres the Range Rover has on the 19" wheels. It seems to be a mixture of 255 50 19 and 255 55 19.
Does anyone know which is the optimal tyre size without having a detrimental effect on speedo accuracy and handling?
