RR Sport paint lacquer coming off!

Hi

I have a 2008 black sport and some of the lacquer is coming off in a few areas, front bumper, round the air intakes on the wings at the back window edges. Is this common and is there any chance of Landrover repairing it, I think they have a ten year paint warranty? Would the warranty stand as I bought it second hand?

IIRC a warranty covers the product, not the purchaser (guarantee), so there shouldn't be an issue with the fact it's second hand. Does the warranty require the paint to be inspected as part of routine servicing? If so you'll probably need FLRSH for LR to sort it.

If any body/paint repair work has been carried out by anyone other than a LR approved bodyshop you would need to find out when & by who as that wouldn't be covered by LR. A paint thickness gauge should show up areas that have had extra paint.
