No customer cars yet, it's a 'company car'. Check the number plate... At the bottom it'll say "Land Rover UK", instead of a dealer.

If you want to see plenty of them, you need to drop in on Cheltenham or Kemble. wink

Not too much of a fan, older model was much better looking and had more 'subtle' presence.

Really? I've always thought a punch in the face was more subtle than a RRS.

I saw a few at goodwood over the weekend, the silver looked dreadful and the black just made it look like a big evoque ( lost all its lines) White was also horrid but the red and dark grey both looked pretty good

All Imho

The new RRS was doing some sort of a promo shoot, with a Land rover branded 747 the Friday before last at Kemble. Looked good fun.

I've seen quite a few of the new RRS being driven down the A350 on test and it does look quite stunning in some of the colours I've seen. Before the RRS there were lots of F Types and more recently facelift XJ's.

Kemble is being used as part of the launch events going on, so they're there for June & July...

I quite like it smile First time I've seen one on the smaller wheels.

I was lucky enough to see one in June at the Dunsfold Land Rover show (excuse the rubbish picture), but I think it looks really good in the flesh. The interior is very nice too, this one had the toffee/black leather with Piano Black dash, it looked absolutely superb. No more pictures because my S4 ran out of battery grumpy

Still needs a split tailgate, too frown

Old (pre 12) split tailgate was the number one cause of customer complaints. Buyers love the new one piece power tailgate.

When you see the new and "old" cars side by side there is little comparison. As with the FFRR the game has moved on and the new car is better in just about every way.

You don't do any form of country pursuits do you !!!

Most of the people I know who have a FFRR, only bought over the sport so they could sit on the tailgate !! Now I know thats mad but just go to a polo match, equestrian event, shoot or racing event and you will see it is a must have to a certain buying demographic

However our defender v8 with bonnet chequerplate is the most popular as you can sit on the bonnet and warm backside at the same time !!!

...or a nuclear warhead going off.

Saw a few new ones at the GFoS, they're probably better, but I think they screwed up going for the small rear light clusters. It looks like an Evoque that's suffering from an allergic reaction to a bee sting.

Please tell me that's Prince Philip on the tailgate of the classic!

I don't mind the new one, the back seems a bit bland with no badges or true break across it.
Would agree with the split tailgate, great thing to have.

We were discussing the Sport, not the RR. The FFRR has had a split folding tailgate since it's launch in 1970. The 06-11 Sport had a split tailgate of a different type and it was the No. 1 cause of customer issues in CSI surveys.

The one piece power tailgate has been universally popular with new Sport buyers. The new RR has a superb powered but traditional split tailgate for those buyers who require that feature.

Apologies I got the wrong end of the stick !!! I thought the complaint was it not having a split tailgate rather than the issue with the sport type of tailgate.

I drove one at Land Rover Experience Gaydon Yesterday. It's pretty good, probably a bit too good off road, you don't have to do much except drive.
