Motorised side step covers jack points when retracted. when deployed the RR supplied scissor jack bumps into the step before it can engage and lift the car. Green flag's trolley jack faired no better. help please....

Spooky. I changed the pads of the Vogue this afternoon and wondered as I was positioning my trolley jack from the front where it would go if I tried it from the side as the deployable steps mechanism seemed to pretty much cover everything solid from the sides.

I used my jack from the front and placed it under the joint at the inboard end of the suspension arm, that looked hefty enough to take the lift. and worked fine.

Doors closed, key in ignition, trolley jack under lower wishbone directly below the damper mount.

Lift wheel off the ground, pause for a second, and the self-leveling will do the rest.

Edited to add video.

If the jacking point isn't accessible with them locked down, you can unbolt the actual step part of deployable steps (four allen bolts I think). Otherwise there are jacking points for a trolley jack front and back - in the handbook.
