Hoping someone might be knowledgable re the d2 air suspension.
Wife came home in d2 with near side very high and o/s very low. Seemed like one side higher than it should be and the other lower than it should be.
Tried lowering the suspension etc. eventually checked the height sensors. Sprayed them with wd40. Found the o/s plastic that joins to the chassis had broken although was still connected. So popped it off and pushed the sensor arm up. Started the car and so now have it up on both sides. Reconnected the sensor arm and cable tied it in place. Now the suspension is stuck up on both sides. The button to lower beeps 3 times which seems to suggest a fault. Tried driving to see if that forced an auto lower, but it didn't. I don't want to blow the air suspension, wife will take the car to a local garage. I hope it is just a matter of letting some air out and re calibrating,,,.

Yep, sounds more like some sort of sensor fault. Get the sensor replaced and the fault codes reset.

BTW - When you were trying to lower, did you have any of the doors open (coz it's designed to not change height if doors are open)??

Hi - nope doors were all shut.
I am going to get both sensors changed and reset the height. I was hoping that disconnecting the battery might help but I don't think it will as I think it needs air removing....

On the bright side... You don't have a leak & the compressor is working!

Worst case is the valve block but if one of the sensors was already damaged, I suspect that's where the problem is.

Not much help for your current problem but when the first bag needed replacing on my second D2. I opted to convert to coils springs. The conversion cost less than replacing one bag. The driving experience is hardly noticeable under normal driving conditions. I haven’t looked back since.
