New Range Rover Sport
Discussion
Hi folks. New to the site and after some help. I have just ordered a Range Rover Sport 5L Suoercharged. I have been told it will be ready for delivery in March 2014. I have to spek it up by the end of November. Amongst many dilemas with this(as i have never been in this fortunate position ever before)is choosing which size of tyres and wheels to get a balance of comfort and performance. Can any one give me any feed back.

TBH - Unless you're taking it off-road, I'd go for whatever ones you like the look of.M

Well folks thanks for your comments. My main concern with the wheels and tyres is that you have three sizes to choose from 20-21 and 22 inch sizes. Not sure if you get a smoother quiter ride dependant on the size of them.
As for the user name. That is a long story.
Normal rules apply, rides and handles better on smaller, looks better on bigger, so go for middle one!As for the user name. That is a long story.
Was not thinking of driving it. The idea was to put it in my front room on a turn table. That way i could do away with the television and save on the licence fee and also all the very expensive and environmentaly exspensive electricity. Not to sure on the maths but in around a thousand years it would of paid for itself. JLR are so impresed with this new forward thinking that they may even include it in any future promotional marketing. Just doing my bit to help save the planet.
Just realised i am late for my next appointment with my Trickcyclist. Got to go.!!!!

Thanks for the advice. Managed to test the S/C yesterday on 22 inchers it drove like a dream. No harshness from the road noise or road wise. I am not a test pilot but i have had 13 supercharged Jaguars before this. The road holding, cornering stability and power was very very impressive to say the least. I had based my initial decision having driven a 3.0l version that was just as impressive in these areas but i just wanted something a little different from the rest. So we will go with the 22 inch wheels. Now what colour combination to choose. All i keep seeing is black or grey, the build your own web site is doing my head in as i do not believe the colours match the real thing in the flesh and the lack of them on the road in any variation of colours is not helping. Any ideas or pictures would be great.
If you have just ordered that car and got a March 2014 delivery date - you have done very well indeed, most dealers that I know of are reluctant to give a delivery date on S/C engined cars due to limited supply.
As previous posters have said, if you go with the 5 + 2 seat car you cannot have the 22's, the 20's look a bit small and the ride quality is little different to the 21's in the real world.
I'd go for the 21's.

Yes to be honest i may be a little to trusting with the sales blarny but i am not in any great rush to collect it. I have spent the last two years in the wilderness looking for something different. i think i have found it and can wait a little longer if needed. Every week we are apart is another week i have some surplus cash in my pocket. Also more time searching for that all important must have accessory, the PRIVATE PLATE..!!!!!!!!!

It has to have a panoramic roof - as the S/C car is only available as an Autobiography. You can delete and go for metal roof on FFRR Autobiography - but not on the Sport for some reason.
5+2 seating and S/C engine? - I'd be quoting a minimum of eight months for that car.
True. Silly me.5+2 seating and S/C engine? - I'd be quoting a minimum of eight months for that car.

Trawl around the showrooms. I've seen Fuji White, Corris Grey, Firenze Red, Loire Blue (nice), and Santorini Black.Ordered Barolo with Corris roof.
