RRS 63 plate Iphone issues

Hi

New to RRS but I have a really annoying issue with the Iphone 5. When I connect via Blue tooth or the cable the goes silent. So you don't know if you have received a text or email. It only works if I'm listening to music stored on the phone then it works fine??

Anyone else had this issue?

Yup, mine does that but only when plugged in. It still vibrates though.

Perhaps it's a design feature to stop people reading texts and emails when in the car.

I'm sure mine pings at me when texts come in - 2008 Disco, though, so not such a clever Bluetooth module.

Thanks for the replies I get what you are saying to stop people reading text etc but I can connect the IPhone 4 with the car and it works fine. Guess I'll just have to live with it!!
