405 Supercharged RR ... My wait is over!

Finally after over 6 months of patient waiting, my new 405 RR has arrived to replace my outgoing RRS.
I plumped for Santorini black with Pimento (Red) leather, 5.0 SC engine, and a few options.
I collected the car directly from the factory and their special handover centre.
Have to say this is a fantastic experience and we all got to drive the cars (not my shiny new one) on the off road courses, over hills and tough terrain and through their mock up swamp ... What these cars can do on normal road tyres is absolutely amazing. Brilliant experience and highly recommend collecting your new car from there if you can ... The laser show and "reveal" definitely worth the effort.
Only had the car for 2 days now and only done 250 miles, but initial impressions are how it's absolutely light years ahead of my outgoing (admittedly an original 56 plate first edition Sport), in every sense. Feels so light (relative to old Sport) and the pace and throttle response given its size, is incredible ... Literally eats the road for breakfast.
Meridian sound system was the one option I was dubious about and originally left off the list, but decided to add at the last minute .... Very pleased I did too !!
I know the car has been out a while now and the waiting time is to buyers a pain, but when the cars are this good .... The wait was well worth it and it's very easy to see why JLR are doing so well ... They really have got it absolutely right in terms of design, engineering, materials and build quality .... Even the dealer experience has been faultless and would highly recommend Guy Salmon in Coventry to anyone.
Off for another drive now!
