The Mrs is nagging for a campervan, and I'm wanting a defender to dick about in and potentially drive to morocco in next year.

Now I saw a picture of a fairly new LWB one on FB the other day, and now can't find it.

It looked very rugged/tomb raider ish, with a pop up roof. I vaguely remember the company saying they were from abroad but had brought it over for a camping/4x4 show.

anyone any idea what it was and where I can get one?

Don't know about the specific conversion you saw, but Nene Overland do a lot of expedition type conversions: http://www.neneoverland.co.uk/

Try speaking to Mudstuff. They've got a 110 which is entirely standard to look at but has a pop-top roof to it. Converted in-house using a kit from Holland or Switzerland or somewhere......

Still doesn't appear to be much headroom though.

Yeah, I was trying to find a link to that but there's no info on Kevin's site.
