2003 rrv8 vogue test air suspension issue

hi just test drove a rrvougue v8 2003

65k miles

2 owners

i testeed air suspension and it rose and went down etc

then stopped doing it with no warning lights

when it did do it it was slow and a bit creaky

it wasnt lop sided

but what might be the problem

i really want to buy this car

a) they all do that Sir, or

b) The compressor is on it's way out. A specialist should be able to sort if for a couple of hundred quid.

The air suspension compressor is extremely basic (think slightly more powerful version of those plug-in tyre inflators) and they do wear. Repair kit is £40-ish on eBay if you can DIY.
