Hi,
completely out of the blue I find a 110 Station Wagon for sale, I have been looking for one for a while, not seriously just the occasional scout on the internet auction site and here on PH.

This truck is a P reg 300TDi, 60,000 miles, service history, two owners (LR limited then private).

Great condition - the odd bit of bubbling paint but sound bulkhead, rear door and B pillars. The chassis is sound and the rear cross member has been neatly replaced.

Priced at £9500 including MoT and waxoyling of the underside.

Is this a fair price?

Presently raiding my piggy banks and not sure how many to slaughter!

Hi Bracken,
it is a county station wagon, absolutely mint...
pretty sure it is a county, the seats have "land rover" fabric, there are side steps, sunroof and side stripes.

My Bowler always Oxford blue from when I built it in 1998. First paint was enamel - speedy but soon faded. This was followed by two-pack - exceptional it was like Bristol blue glass - but green laning soon put paid to that hence the second respray which is nicely faded from even more green laning.

Why do you ask?

If the mileage is genuine and it is a genuine CSW (seats in the back?) then I would say yes, it is worth that as someone will pay that for it. If you want to send me a link I'll happy give you my view. Saving for a house so can assure you I'll not by it.

I went off-roading with someone with a yellow bowler maybe 6 years age with my blue county hard top... which I should not have sold! Looks a nice one.

Sounds a bit steep as it's usually the 90CSW that will hold its value, not the 110CSW.

That said, if it's in A1 condition, genuine mileage and it's what you've wanted for a while... Why not??

Agree it seems a bit top heavy. For that money I'd want it to be near-concourse condition.
Head over heart time.....it's nearly twenty years old.

I passed on it, as a few have commented it is expensive for a 20 year old car. Thank you for the advice!

It is a bit expensive, but only by £1000 or so. You might find one for £8k, but probably with a lot higher mileage - though milege doesn't particularly bother me, it does generally have an effect on price. Could you haggle and get it a bit cheaper? 300 TDi's seem to be going for more than early TD5's as the overlanders like the durability and easy-fixability of them.

I will see whether it is still there in a few weeks, the vendor has a reputation for inflated opinions of the value of things.

Also at the moment I am doing a major rebuild of my Bowler so have more than enough to occupy my time!
