Defender stolen last night from Haworth, West Yorkshire Area.

Was alarmed, immobilised and disklocked

Stolen, driven through drystone wall across fields and through post and wire fence.

They wanted that then, getting very bad all over the UK. Sorry you have lost it but if it's found you maybe would not want it back as it must have quite a bit of damage.

Very sorry to hear this.

I have to say, especially now production has nearly ended, that this is a real worry for me. Hope you can get a replacement lined-up.

Sorry to hear your news

How do the police / landrover suspect they we're able to bypass the immobiliser.

Shouldn't it require a major bit of rewiring? Not so easy in the dark.

Not 100% sure.

Moderator Edit: I'm not sure it's wise to publicise a potential method for stealing Defenders.

Blimey - you've got to hope its not as easy as that sounds

Hope the insurance company plays ball, if not get them to provide an equivalent replacement rather than ££ settlement

Get a secret ignition circuit switch or battery isolator fitted then :-) ???

OP, might not be a bad idea to post pic(s) of the car up here and on other LR forums too perhaps in the hope that an honest individual might see/have seen something - even a colour matching body panel on fleaBay - that might help track down the culprits.

Also you could stick it on Landywatch - landywatch.co.uk

LandyWatchSite said:
Landy Watch is a growing network of Land Rover owners whose aim is to assist in the recovery of stolen Land Rovers and suggest ways to make our vehicles a less attractive target to thieves.
Sorry to hear, OP frown
