Hi guys, help please I had a RR Sport 2.7 v6td but turbo failed so sold her on and bought a Audi 4.2 TDI 2007, its to big for my wife so… found a 1 owner RR Sport 2010 Dark blue cream leather HSE with main agent FSH ( 132,000Miles Motor way miles !!) not being sold from a land rover agent. would you buy one with these miles with the knowledge its a 2010 and if was going to have problem they would have been in that flagged up and sorted during that time. I visited a local land over dealer who knows well and put me off as they have been a problematic 4x4 and only to buy one form land rover dealer with warranty.

Thanks

I don't see why not, at that sort of mileage it'll be barely run in. wink

As long as it has been serviced properly, it should go on for many more miles.

the issue I would have is the state of the rest of the consumables/wear items. So review service history in detail

If buying from a main dealer you would automatically get the check and warranty for 12 months, albeit hard to claim for shocks/bushes etc, one would expect at least a few months before big bills on a warrantied car

When buying from an independant you may only get 3 months or a 12 month 3rd party warranty that does not cover wear items

and of course you want to be buying at the right price in the first place...check used values for trade in with those miles for an idea of the future value...www.parkers.co.uk

I would ask to get the front lower arms, front wheel bearings and arb bushes all round changed as part of the deal. They are all known issues with miles. The rest of the car is fine, just keep the oil clean and fresh as the TDV8 can blow a turbo with dirty oil.

The autobox will need a flush as well as ZF specify changes every 100k or 75k if towing regularly.

do you know much about who has owned it previously, company or individual? that's some serious miles to put on such a new car in a short time. Engine probably fine but worth an independent inspection.

1 owner motorway miles full dealer history. I'm working on the ideas!! that if there was any problems they would have highlight in the miles covered. Engine be worked well will all the relative services it lookes like it got new disks and pads interior isn't worn so it aperars to have been looked after. My q7 had 4k spent on it with 48k miles as it stood for 2 years so I'm put of low mileage vehicles at moment
