Does anyone have any experience of Havana as a colour choice on a LR product, ideally a Defender. I'd love to buy a Nara Bronze Defender (110 Utility Wagon) with contrast black roof (same layout as the X Tech Special Edition pictured below) but you can't get one as a factory order, so you have to buy a Santorini Black car, then spend £3.5k with a paint shop spraying the relevant bits Nara Bronze. The result would be below but seems a bit OTT on a brand new vehicle.

The safe option then would be Grey with black roof which I look the look of but It seems a bit 'safe' and boring - I've definitely seen a few around in this combo.

So I got to thinking about Havana. You don't see many around, so much so I'm not sure I've ever seen one in the flesh. I have done some googling and I can't decide. It seems to be a very different colour depending on light / angle of photo (see below) and I also fear it maybe too dark for a contrast black roof to work and I don't want a light roof.

This one looks dark grey / almost blue:-

But this one looks more traditional brown, although it's still not clearly brown (to my eyes anyway):-

This one looks almost black

And this one looks poo brown which I don't like

I know I need to go and see one, but there aren't that many around to view. Does anyone have an experience of this colour and what are their thoughts?

Hi,

I have just taken delivery of a 110 utility in Havana. I wouldn't say I'm in love with it as a colour. It's definitely more battleship than gun metal if you know what I mean. Fortunately for me, mine is a company car and I change them every 9 months so I can be a little more reckless with colour choice than if it was a keeper.

It looks nothing like the picture on the configurator that's for sure. Not sure it's worth the premium over the normal metallic grey.

Hope that helps.

I was going to order a FL2 in Havana, couldn't find one for miles to look at. It didn't matter as they've discontinued it anyway.

Can we please park the poncey names for colours please?
Defenders aren't "Uruguayan Charcoal", "Milan Latte", "Nordic Mint" or any other such ste.
They are green, blue, red, grey and so on....""Battleship" grey is about the limit as that conveys purpose as well as a colour.
Carry on.

Ok, so is it actually a dark metallic grey then? For some reason I had it down as dark brown. Doh!
