RRS delivery date

Pretty pissed off with a main dealer Milton Keynes..
Ordered in April a new RRS. At the order time a delivery was given of 31 July 2014 with a part exchange value.
£1000 deposit paid
Today I've been told my sales person has left the company and my order isn't placed with land rover and is in a "holding pool" and could be 3 months until it is in the LR system and then approx 3 months after that.
Without committing the best hope to see a car will be October
Is this about the norm.?
