I am finally getting around to getting my V8 SE freshened up, after 130k miles am sure the cam is worn (it feels sluggish) have decided to keep the original 3.9 (uses no water or oil) but would like a bit more 'Go" from it, so maybe a slightly hotter cam maybe the way forward, my car is an auto, so I don't want anything that is not going to work well with the auto box. I know its never going to be a TVR but would like to enhance the performance so any ideas/

many thanks

OEM cams are getting a bit thin on the ground I think. I looked for one for my LSE a while back (4.2 granted) and could find nothing.
Piper will offer something but divide opinion I found. Some places love them and will fit happily and they seem to offer a bit more lift so more power. Other places detest them and claim destroyed engines and all sorts.
I didn't investigate further to see where I sat.
RPI would be a good place to talk to.

Stuart likes Piper stuff. Which would be one good reason for using them as he seems to know his stuff.

Always liked Kent cams myself, have a look at the H180 or H218.

Have a chat with V8 Developments, they've always had good advice for me even if I haven't ended up buying stuff from them.
