Experience Centre Advice .

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best experience day centres ? Scotland or Skipton are closest to me , but I'm happy to travel if another centre is head and shoulders better than either of these 2 .

I've been to the Eastnor experience centre in Herefordshire...superb full days experience in a Disco 4. Struck it lucky as there was only me in the vehicle all day. Learnt a lot and would recommend.

I am thinking of going to the Skipton one, so would love to hear peoples experiences.

I'd say Eastnor...

...but then some would call me biased.

Eastnor is the spiritual home of LR testing. I've been to the LRE centre there twice, it's worth the drive.

For those in the SW, the Honiton centre is fantastic, but it can't really compete with Eastnor.

I expect all the LRE centres are excellent.

I got the impression, when I was at Honiton over Easter, that there was an element of competition between the centres.

Depends what you want.

I've been round in a FFRR in thick mud and it gave a great impression of the vehicle.

A Defender in the dry and it wasn't testing in the slightest. Nothing in the way of permanent water or daft axle articulation.
