Remap on RR sport TDV8

anybody had a remap on their TDV8.
I had remaps done on my VW golf mk4 and it worked really well and the same on a seat leon but Im nervous to try this on the RR as Im scared that it may have a bad effect on the turbo.

Questions are:

Does the remap effect the turbo in any way?
Does it cause problems with the fuel filters (I had a Volvo that suffered badly with blocked fuel filters and used to produce sudden plumes of black smoke on acceleration - which I think may have been due to previous owners remap)
does it improve fuel economy whilst town driving?
any other work need doing at same time, to make a "proper job"
