Range Rover Classic Tyre with Winter bias
Discussion
I could do with some advice please. (Sarge!). I have a Classic which is used for pootling about all year round - no more than 2,000 miles a year. I have no plans to go more off road than parking in a field. However I would like good winter traction as I live high up in the Pennines and in the snow my 3 series on winter tyres is better at turning and stopping than the RRC on some fairly ancient Goodyear GT4s.
So, I would like a road biased tyre, which is winter rated (snowflake in a mountain symbol) but which won't leave me stuck in a wet field like an X5 on 20" rimz.
Any ideas?! OEM size is 205/80/16. I'm currently running 235/70/16 which is the Discovery 1 size.
Thanks!

I ran Vredestein Wintracs for 2 winters, (commuting over the Peak District too) and they were excellent both in the snow and in wet paddocks. Am now running Michelin Alpine's but have no feedback on their winter ability as last winter was pretty pants....
As an aside, the Disco was shod with GG ATR2's when I bought it, and they were not white walled.
