defender puma/round top doors backwards compatability

I understand they will fit any defender, but are the locks different inside? There's a pair of bare door shells on ebay, but if I have to fiddle around getting lock gubbins instead of just transferring the locks from my existing and increasingly flappy doors I might as well just hold out for a pair that come with everything still on.

If you mean one-piece doors from a later Defender fitting on an early one, the answer is yes, they do fit, but the lock striker plates are located slightly differently and the actual latches on the door are totally different. Easy enough to modify though. I did it the other way round and fitted older sliding-window doors to a later TD5.
Rear/load space doors are a straight swap.
