Landrover Electric parking brake unit
Discussion
Hi.
I have a small garage, mainly electrical stuff. A few months ago my business partner and I came across a failed Renault Scenic electric handbrake (bear with it). We came up with a way of fixing these, by replacing the motor, and a few other electrical parts. Since then we have done hundreds of the things, and can offer Renault handbrakes at a much lower cost than new, and much better quality than used.
Now I happen to know that Landrover handbrake units occasionally fail, but as yet, I haven't been able to get my hands on one to be able to reverse engineer a fix.
Is there anyone out there with a failed hand brake box - This is the box with 3 cables coming out of it - 2 heavy duty ones to the brakes, and a lighter 'emergency release' one that fits in the boot.
If you had one, I'd be interested in doing a deal and buying an old failed one off you, with the intention of coming up with a fix.
Many Thanks
