Air suspension inactive - Garage advise needed
Discussion
Ah crap...
Inactive suspension message has popped up on dashboard. I have tried the lock to lock procedure and it makes no difference.
All lights on dash have gone out, luckily it happened on normal settings, trying to locate a good garage/mechanic in the epsom/Leatherhead area.
Car is a 03 Vogue.
Help please !!!
Thanks

Just the same as with D3's of this era, I would first do a battery disconnect, wait 10 mins & then reconnect. http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post67804.html#6780...
You have mentioned the steering lock to lock which must be done after reconnection.
Also check the condition of your battery as these cars are v sensitive to voltage drops - something that is exacerbated by the cold temperature & also short journeys.
Finally, you can ask away on www.fullfatrr.com
Hope this helps you!

These guys live and breathe Land Rovers. They're not particularly salubrious, but they have vast experience.

Run by PHer Sarge 4x4 as well.
Hello Andy, I'll collect the commission next time I'm in.

Update:
back to trader I bought the car from.
Plugged in Snap tool. Engine Off then On - control lights came back on.
Reset suspension - and Voila - Everything works again.
Took 5 mins to do. Apparently the older the compressor gets the more it hates being asked to go up-down (:-) too quickly.
is this what old age will feel like ?
All in £0 spent....

Which is great, but now you've had a warning it would be worth starting to budget for a replacement compressor before you end up miles from home having to drive back with no air in the air springs.
Yeah, they did say. I got a warranty cover with the car when I bought it, and they offered to replace when this happens.Gassing Station | Land Rover | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
