Hi,
my 110" has the usual Land-Rover bracket on the front differential which I suspect is intended to prevent the track rod from bending.
My 100" Bowler has a sleeved track rod (i.e. the tube can rotate if if snags).

I've only ever bent one track rod on the Bowler when it snagged on a rock the size of a tombstone.
Question is do I leave the 110" stock or remove the bracket and sleeve the track rod as I did on the 100"?

I'll carry a spare sleeved track rod with me anyway when I do adventurous stuff (a bit of solo laning on easier tracks in the Lake District) but I'm curious how strong the stock arrangement is.

You often need to remove if you fit a diff guard anyway...

Personally, I don't bother with it. I have a regular rod fitted and carry a regular spare.

Cheers Camel,
I sleeved the regular track rod last night (I had a piece of tube and needed to remove it for another job anyway).
Any recommendations for a good bolt-on front diff guard?
