New Defender - sensible security options?
Discussion
My new 90SW is built, so should arrive soon :-)
Would like to hold onto to it longer than I managed with a 110SW I had which was stolen off my drive, never to be seen again.
What sensible security measures should I take? Need something that will be easily removable when I return the car, and that doesn't require drilling holes etc.
Bike lock round the spare wheels seems like a good plan, but what else?

I had a gearbox lock many years ago on an Impreza Turbo. It was welded beneath the car and used to lock the gearbox in reverse. There was a barrel on the passenger side near the floor that slid into the gearbox when stationary. It opened with a key and was very easy/quick to use. Unless you knew it was there it was difficult to see. I had stickers on the windows informing potential thieves. It was at the height of Impreza thefts and I parked it all over B'ham without a problem. Sorry, I don't have details.
Clutch claw seem to be well liked. I had a metal disklock on my defender when I had one

Disklok all day long, good and very visible ..which is where the clutch lock thing fails. ....they've broken in and caused damage before they see it .Gassing Station | Land Rover | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
