Budget for work on an S3
Discussion
Hi all,
I bought my Series 3 with an MOT intending it to be a running restoration. However, the brakes are sticking on and it needs new dumb irons. Due to work I have less time than usual, so am thinking about paying someone else to go through the brakes and do the essential welding. Easy bolt-off/bolt-on stuff I can do.
Obviously you'd need to see it, but what sort of budget should I put aside for this kind of thing? I'm in Herts, so my nearest specialist is Aylmer who seem to have a good local reputation.
