Front parabolic spring bushes
Discussion
Hi,
Replacing spring bushes (were metalastic now polybushes) on 88" Series One, all fit OK except for front springs (part number 169796)
with spring eye ID at 34.5mm
Standard bush OD is 30mm
Is there a stock Land Rover bush which I can use to fit these springs (now devoid of bushes because they were worn out)?
Metalastic bush is part number 548205
Polybush kit is DC7003 and DC7103 comprising these sets:
552819PY shock absorber set
548205PY Shackle / spring set
569746PY Chassis set
Reason for polybushes is to reduce the hassle when replacing them, truck does around 3000 miles / year with a lot of off-road work on the hillside. I don't get a lot of opportunity to maintain it and the owner (my Dad) agreed that we'd rather have 1/2 day replacing the bushes every couple of years instead of a few days of sawing and chiselling every decade!
