L322 Extended Warranty
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm still trying to buy one of these and have been sticking to full Franchised dealers partly to ensure the 2yr extended warranty that seems to come with Approved Used FFRR.
Am I going mad or can you get a non approved used and get it inspected to buy an extended warranty through LR?
I ran our 911 with the Porsche extended warranty for peace of mind and would look to do this or similar with our new toy.
Any info greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance!

I'd just buy it from the main dealer to save the hassle and avoid any issues if there are defects/faults at time of day purchase.
It's not like they are the rarest vehicle so I'm sure there are plenty of options in your budget through the main dealer network - look national as they will deliver to you. If you are quite tight on price just keep an eye open on the finder every day or two and let your local garage know what you want. Either way, I'm sure the right one at the right price will come up sooner or later and you will be very pleased to have taken the low-stress approach of going through a main dealer as repairs can get VERY expensive on these things.

As the owner of a D3 with LR approved warranty from the dealership, I can vouch for how essential they are with Land River products! I think in 14 months we're up to about £10,000 of repairs now. The warranty is excellent though!
Thanks both. I have contacted a main dealer about a suitable TDV8 and that obviously comes with 2 yrs warranty which I understand is pretty comprehensive - much like our Porsche one.Can it then be further extended do you know? I.e. After the two years?
Thanks as always
I also found the warranty really good, had 2 cars from LR and LR have taken care of everything and anything, they also provide a like for like courtesy car when going through LR assistance to get work done. If going through the main dealer I just ask them to collect it from me.

Last year I bought a 2007 RR Sport HSE (3.6 TDV8) from the main dealer which came with 1 year warranty. I did actually sell it before the year was up as it was a stop-gap until I got a new FFRR, but as they hadn't updated the records, the warranty renewal was still sent over to me. I believe the cost was approx £1k for the year and that would have kept my cover running. Can it then be further extended do you know? I.e. After the two years?

Thanks - that was what I was hoping for
I know there are loads of arguments about warranty vs sticking a few £ aside but I just like peace of mind on these things.
