Hi Folks

Just bought a 1995 Vogue SE. Had it up on the ramps and it's a really solid looking car with very little corrosion. Previous owners have spent money on keeping the body work in good condition so things like sills & arches are all good.

All the major mechanical stuff looks & sounds good but lots of niggles to sort. Just replaced the steering damper which has made loads of difference and stopped it from trying to pull my arms off!

ABS is doing strange stuff so need to do some diagnostics on that. Cruise control, heated seats, central locking and stereo don't work but all pretty straight forward fixes I think.

Loving the car so far!

Check the bulkhead very carefully!
Radio has an amp under the drivers side boot trim, on the sub. Might be your issue. If its a clarion then they will refurb your HU as long as it isn't water damaged. The correct unit (not the p38 one) doesn't come up for sale very often.
Seats - probably the element which means stripping the squab off and finding the break. Slow and dull but not too hard I gather - haven't tried.
Nice car, hope it does what you want.

Thanks for the advice, the bulk head is looking pretty good from the areas I can see. I'll be dropping the engine out later in the year so I'll get a much better idea of the condition then

Haven't looked at the radio too much other than to check the fuses. It illuminates when I turn it on and there's a crackle through the speakers but nothing else - no numbers on the screen or sound or response to any button presses.

I haven't checked amps/sub yet but I do know the multi-changer has been removed.

I'm loving the car and I'm loving messing with it - the L322 I have just isn't conducive to tinkering!
