Detachable Tow Bar Recall

I dropped off the RRS at the dealership for its MOT this morning. Apparently there's an action out on cars fitted with the detachable tow bar. The tow bar and armature are to be inspected for excessive wear as there have been instances of even correctly fitted towbars becoming loose and falling out.

The solution seems to be an offer of fitting the fixed tow bar or signing a waiver...!

Been going on for over a year now.
Had my D3 checked out and it got a new lock on the detachable tow bar.
Some people have been given free heavy duty tow bars from it.
