SVR Sport V X6M
Discussion
I currently have a 2015 BMW X6M (576BHP) and am thinking of changing to a Range rover sport SVR
(540 BHP). The beemer as been good as gold for the 15000 miles I have done and still has 4 years free servicing. I just fancy a change, I just have reservations re reliability and build issues.
I have never owned a Land rover but our company chairman has had two range rovers from brand new the last one being a 2008 model that had numerous gear box and brake caliper issues.
Many thanks for any info and views.

My business partner has a 2015 GLE 63s ( the square one not the coupe) , It's a touch dated in the styling but it goes like hell, the sound and that engine are spectacular
He was split between the GLE and the X5M when he was looking to buy, he discounted the SVR because of the reliability issues friends with other late model LR's have had.

IMHO the BMWs can't be compared to the Range Rover SVR or even the RRS in general.
The RRS feels much more premium when inside where as the X range is a plastic fest.
The SVR also sounds absolutely insane.
I would get an SVR all day.
I have had a RRS for 18 months since new and only issue I have had is squeaky brakes. The dealer has been good in that they changed all pads and discs to solve the issue however there is still a slight squeak noticeable. My previous car was an X4 40d and that had a leaking pan roof, airbag lights going off, peeling paint on alloy wheels and it kept eating tyres!

No plastic in my X6M. leather every where.
Going to book a test drive in a SVR and take it from there.
Heard the technology on Jaguar/Land rover lags behind the Germans.
We will see thanks, thanks for everyone's input.
Whilst you are at the dealership ask them to show you the infotainment system in the new Evoque Convertible as if you order an SVR this is the most recent version you will get in the SVR. It's poles apart from the current systems and brings the tech bang up to date even if not better than the Germans. Going to book a test drive in a SVR and take it from there.
