I've had my engine mounts replaced by the garage with suspected Britpart items and the vibration that was the initial problem seems to have gotten worse. Has anyone else used these? Do they settle in or do I need to replace my mounts again for the genuine items?

Which vehicle are we actually talking about RRC or Disco?

Is the vibration damper which should be on the front of the crankshaft in place & in good condition?

These claim that their mounts will hugely reduce the vibration:http://www.glencoyneengineeringltd.com/engine-mounts-anti-vibration-200tdi-series--defender-oem-pair-22-p.asp
& this would appear to be a happy customer:

My vehicle is a RRC. The mounts on these and discos are different in comparison to the defender items otherwise they would've been an ideal solution. Crankshaft pulley dampener rubber is possibly looking worn, thanks for the suggestion.

Ah. Hadn't realised. Apologies for getting your hopes up!

Based on the comments in Nickslandrover re. the Defender ones being by Bearmach, might it be worth trying a pair of those - or refitting the originals if they're not scrap.
I'm assuming yours are ANR2488?
https://www.lrdirect.com/ANR2488-Engine-Mounting-D...
Gearbox mounts OK?

I must admit with my own RRC - 1986 V8 - there are certain items I will only source from a franchised dealer - although I do note that there are an increasing number of blue boxes on the shelves of a couple of my local indys.
Bear in mind though that LR don't make their own parts & although the packaging might have the LR logo all over it you don't know who made what's inside!

ETA. This is definfitely engine vibration & not coming from any other source - propshaft thrown a weight, propshaft u/j?

First chance I've had to look in daylight today. I think I've found my issue - metal on metal.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to get around this one.

The vehicle has been previously converted from v8 to 200tdi. I'm wondering if the engine mount bracket is slightly out meaning that the mount itself can't sit true. Or is there room for adjustment upon fitting?

That's also what had happened on the old mount, I'd just presumed it'd collapsed. This is the o/s. N/s looks a lot better.

The conversion requires the metal mounts to be cut off the chassis in the donor vehicle and welded to the chassis in the recipient. IIRC LR kits were available for this conversion but cut & weld is simpler & with the corrosion issues of the Disco 1 donor vehicles - which of course come with all the required bits - were plentiful.

I'm inclined to think that this hasn't been done correctly in yours as the whole point of the rubber mounting is to isolate it & it appears the chassis mount is out of position. BUT difficult to be sure without seeing a factory built 200TDi either RRC or Disco to see how it should look.

What is of interest is that in a discussion on another forum of 200TDi into RRC one of the pics clearly shows the same position and metal-to-metal contact that you have:

I don't know what scope there would be for moving the mount on the engine which I believe is NTC6281 but looking at line drawings of it on microcat it looks a bit tight to start elongating bolt holes & fabricating a new one to suit might be more trouble than it's worth: http://new.lrcat.com/#!/1229/83488/83961/6626/8410... Number 2 in the pic

The alternative would be to cut off & reposition the chassis mount whilst still attached to the engine with a new rubber mount which would be my preferred option, but it is something I could do myself. I don't know what your garage would want to charge or if they would want to take it on.
