2012 L322 reliability

A family member is looking at buying a 12 FFRR and wanted to know what reliability of the newer/end of the line models.
Would you recommend the cooled seats?
Also what are the running costs such as day to day mpg and the average cost of a service.
And are there any indy's that you would recommend in the NW.

cooled seats = love them.
Thought they'd be a novelty but use them much more than expected; nice way to feel fresh on long journey, even when it's not particularly warm outside.
Mines a 2009 so can't answer about reliability. It's cost me over 5k this year!
My 5.0 s/c seems to do around 17-18mpg over a week of commuting/weekend trips (330-340 on 90-95litres), averaged 23mpg on 2200 mile trip Poole to Scottish Highlands and back.

I have a 2010 5.0 Supercharged which is used mainly for short trips, just to the shop and back, so fuel consumption is not brilliant but the comfort factor is superb. As stated, the cooling seats are excellent, much better than Mercedes attempt at them.
As for an independent, I used A1 British 4x4 in Bury for mine, firstly when I bought it for an initial check over to make sure it was OK, and then to change the transfer box oil as there was no record of it ever being done. They impressed me, and will be getting any future work on the car, though their website seems to be down at the moment
