Hi,
I'm looking to change my 2012 Evoque Si4 Auto with an older ( 2006 - 2010 ) RR Vogue as we are looking to get another Husky soon & the boot on the Evoque is too small but I'm wondering what MPG I could expect from the 4.2 SC, the 4.4 petrol vs the 3.6 V8TD ?

Our annual mileage is around 5000 with mostly short journeys of 3 or 4 miles hence why we bought the petrol Evoque but I'm just trying to calculate roughly how much more a petrol will cost me in fuel. I'm getting around 23mpg on average from the Evoque with around 30mpg on a run.

I don't really want to go back to a diesel, mainly due to potential issues caused by such short trips but my friend has a RR Sport 4.2SC & he gets as little as 10mpg from it which I would find hard to stomach ( he doesn't exactly drive it carefully though )

I would appreciate your thoughts.
Regards, Phil.

4.2 supercharged here,
Pootling around town I'll get 12-15 mpg,on a run I'll see nearly 25mpg.

If you can find a later jaguar engined 4.4 petrol, they're much better motors than the previous bmw engined cars, but hardly worth the difference in mpg compared to a 4.2 supercharged which are generally considered the most reliable out all of the models.
07 year onwards are the ones to go for.
