a couple of weeks ago I bought L322 HSE TD6 with a knackered engine, it's the BMW 3.0 M57 engine of which there seem to be plenty available so I found one from a guy with excellent feedback on ebay, went at collected it

All signs were good , engine had been removed rather than cut out with a disc cuter, every nut bolt and plug undone

Engines are quite rare that they go on these models, the gearbox however love to go bang in a big way every 30-50k miles.
